Sydney Sweeney recently confessed being alone forever is her ‘biggest fear’. (source)

In today’s era of superficial relationships, that tends to be the biggest fear of them all.

All people suffer.

We all cry.

One day we will all die.

But being with others makes our problems a little bit more sufferable. We endure more when we suffer along with others. We are more strong when we have the company of loved ones or even the company of people that just care for us.

All people have this fear. From ordinary people to famous ones. Especially the latter. Since being famous instantly increases the possibility that your relationships with others are nothing more than superficial acquaintances that aim at personal benefit and nothing more.

How can one tackle that fear?

Control your thoughts.

Be nice to yourself.

Grow from the inside.

There are numerous psychology theories, techniques and philosophies that all aim to boost your morale and make you stronger so as to deal successfully with that fear. Each of them tries to change your way of thinking or control your emotions, while other more practical ones even try to actually help you connect with others in order to solve the root of the problem.

But what if the problem is not a problem?

What is the problem is the solution we seek?

We all suffer alone. We will all die alone.

How weak would everyone be if we constantly had company in everything we do, in everything we see and feel? Surely being alone can make you strong. And that has benefits on its own. On the other hand, one cannot be constantly alone. And that is a true problem that we need to try to solve. But again… alone!

Despite every technique, method or advice one might get, he or she will need to grow strong and really want to change towards something more. To seek human interaction, to control that feeling that he is hurt, to try to alleviate a bit the fear of being by himself until he manages to find someone else. One must alone try to get better. To change his life into something funnier, lighter, happier, better.

Yes, one might manage not to be alone.

But he will do so alone.

Yes, one might achieve happiness.

But only because of what he thinks on his own. Only alone can we master the will to be with others. And while being with them, we will know why it is so valuable to be alone. Unique drops in an ocean. An ocean that is nothing without you and me.

Sit.

Under that tree.

Watch the river flee.

A butterfly.

Think. What are you missing? What do you need? We all live. We all die. What is the meaning of life that makes you Be? Only you, alone, can determine that thing that makes you breath.
