Scrape, cluck, lay eggs – that’s it? Anyone involved in chicken farming knows that the animals are capable of much more. Researchers have found evidence that roosters could recognize themselves in a mirror. Whether this is successful, however, depends on the experimental conditions — a finding that points beyond the experiment with roosters and could also be of importance for other animal species. Recognizing one self in the mirror.
Knowing you is you.
Knowing thyself. Existing. Being.
Tautology as the purest form of knowledge. Tautology as actually the only form of knowledge. Whatever we say, whatever we know, can be reduced in a simple tautology when analyzed into its components. (a+b)^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2. 1=1. A=A.
I am Me. Being is to be.
I can see the mirror and recognize myself. But one thing is missing. For even tautology needs something more than tautology itself. Yes, I see myself in the mirror. But who made the mirror? What is the mirror? Another tautology?
Look closer. Even the purest form of knowledge has its secrets.
Mirror mirror…
Can you look your self in the… mirror?
(Even God needed man to be able to look at His Son…)
